Set default web browser

I installed Netscape a while back, but eventually ditched it from my system. Now I can't get Internet Explorer to work properly. How do I reset it as my web browser of choice?

Normally, when you start Internet Explorer, the message 'Internet Explorer is not currently your default browser. Would you like to make it your default browser?' is displayed. Click Yes, and all should be okay. If this doesn't happen, then Internet Explorer may not be set as the default browser. To re-establish it as your browser of choice, open Control Panel, Internet Options, select the Programs tab, check the box 'Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser' and click ok.
